Updated Preview of "Crying Town"

We were in the studio again this past Wednesday working on what I now think of as our signature song. Although we are not quite finished mixing it I'm posting it here and now because I am SO EXCITED by it that I want to share it with anyone who cares to listen!

Great song, almost perfect mix. The 2 part harmony on "So Understand" could be edited at the tail or taken out all together. Violin & cello parts could be a little thicker in tone. They appear a tad thin. The scat vocal at the outro should be a bit louder in volume and thickened up as well. Much too thin, almost as if the singer is going though some sort of AM radio effect. Aside from that, damn great!

Very nice ballad. Joey needs to vocally be stronger at 1:53 point in the song (maybe double track harmonize?) and bring out the guitar more at 2:36. background harmonies are perfect here. The organ work can build up a bit more (a la Blind Faith). Overall - excellent work!

Awwwwww Maaaaannnn! This is the most perfect song I've heard in a long time...Joey & Co, you have one helluva song there, and I'm more than confident that the rest of your new stuff will be as good if not, if it could, be better!!!! Do you require a rave review in SoundCheck by any chance?

A breath of fresh air in a stale music scene across the country...kinda cool beatle like chord changes.
