First Show of 2013 This Friday (Feb 22nd)

We're coming off of our winter break with a show this coming Friday night at The Delancey (appropriately enough) on Delancey Street in NYC. In the meantime we've been working on a bunch of new songs which we hope to debut along with a whole new show at IPO NY which is (for us) on May 3rd at The National Underground on Houston Street.

Hey all. My friend Marc is a talent (aren't we all?) and his band Sunrise Highway is awesome but that's not what I'm going to talk about. IPO New York Postponed till the spring!

It's with some regret that I have to announce that my first solo appearance EVER will be postponed until the spring of 2013 because Hurricane Sandy forced IPO promotor David Bash to cancel this year's festivities. If you're reading my blog chances are you already know this! The good news is that Buddy Love will be doing the show then so our continuous streak of IPO NY appearances will not be blemished.

Just a week or so after hurricane Sandy and one block from a flooded and fireball exploded ConEd substation, Buddy Love enjoyed a fun filled evening of rock and roll.

IPO New York with a Twist!

It has been a tradition since Buddy Love's reunion in 2006 to attend and perform at The International Pop Overthrow in New York City. This year the band cannot attend due to a prior engagement of one of our members. In order not to break our streak of consecutive annual appearances I (Doug, that's me!) will be doing a very rare solo performance. What exactly will I be doing? Good question!

I've kicked around some ideas and have been practicing them but I guess you'll have to see (and hear) for yourself on Saturday afternoon, November 10th at 1 PM. See ya there?
